The Jamaican Government in recent history, has made the necessary steps to maintain Jamaica in the global competitive village, by the formation of various agencies, designed to support, and improve local businesses. The importance of business is reiterated in the Vision 2030 tagline, which purports: “Jamaica, the place of choice to live, work, raise families and do business.” As such, the topics to be explored by this 5th biennial conference include but are not limited to:
  • Investment in Research & Development Across the Region
  • Science & Technology with and for society
  • Science to Solve Global Challenges and
  • Science Education: Meeting 21st Century Century Demands
Discussions will be had to determine how business is impacted by emerging technologies, the impact of ST&I on poverty alleviation, access to food, personal and national security among others.
